# PostgreSQL
Another Database server, It is a more modern database used by more modern applications

Create a folder for the project

	mkdir -p ~/docker/postgres

Now create a compose file

	vim ~/docker/postgres/docker-compose.yml

Add in the following text

```
version: '3'

services:
  postgres:
    image: postgres:latest
    container_name: postgres
    restart: always
    volumes:
     - /data/postgres:/var/lib/postgresql/data
    environment:
     - POSTGRES_PASSWORD=Set your postgresql root password here
```
